* pop'n music MICKEY TUNES is a pop'n music spin-off containing exclusively Disney related music, much like DanceDanceRevolution and its spin-offs [[AC DS Disney's RAVE|Disney's RAVE]] and [[CS DDR Disney Dancing Museum|ディズニーダンシングミュージアム]].
* All Disney-related songs are covers, with the sole exception of [[D.D.D!]].
* Only pop'n music game to use decimals for song ratings.
* First pop'n music title to feature hold notes (named "Keep-kun", ''キープくん''). Long notes would not be introduced in any instalment of the main pop'n music series until [[AC pnm Usaneko|pop'n music うさぎとねこと少年の夢]].
* Like [[AC pnm 4|pop'n music 4]], pop'n music MICKEY TUNES features backdrops instead of the regular backgrounds used by most of the main series games.
