段位认定出自7th style，一个认定玩家能力的模式。根据自己的实力选择七级～一级～初段～十段～中伝（中传）～皆伝（皆传），并游玩每个等级指定的4首曲子。本模式不能使用导致谱面直接变化的选项（Style，Assist，Flip），同时也不能使用于Gauge增减相关的选项。当Gauge在30%以下时，Gauge的减少量会减少（通称30％补正）。
- 皆传段位于 DistorteD 加入，在PENDUAL及之前，十段合格者可以挑战。
- 中传段位于 Copula 加入，十段合格者可以挑战。此后中传合格者才可挑战皆传。
- Copula及之前 Double Play 的段位从五级开始并且只有三首。
玩家获得的最高段位将出现在玩家的个人情报里，并且根据取得的段位，STANDARD中各关卡出现曲子的难度上限也有变化。
